WADE S. BOWERS

HIGHLAND, Feb. 12 - Wade S. Bowers, 63, died at 8:25 o'clock this morning at his residence in the Highland community, following an illness of two weeks.

Mr. Bowers was a lifelong resident of the Highland section and was a son of the late Jimmie and Elizabeth Howard Bowers.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Pittman Bowers; three daughters, Mrs. T.B. Suddeth of Taylors, Route 1; Mrs. Jonah Slatton and Mrs. Luther Slatton of Greer, Route 3; three sons, M.B., Buford and Nelson Bowers of Greer, Route 3; three brothers, Malcolm Bowers of Taylors, Rome Bowers of Hendersonville, and Holland Bowers of Inman, Route 3; seven sisters, Mrs. Mallie Pittman and Mrs. Tessie Howell of Landrum, Mrs. Bessie Babb of Taylors, Route 1, Mrs. Hattie Edwards, Miss Ida Bowers and Mrs. Julie Tucker of Inman, Route 3, Mrs. Annie Maude Babb of Taylors, Route 1 and Mrs. Edna Hart of Greer, Route 3; also 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church by Rev. Ansell Pruitt and Rev. T.E. Reid. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

The following were asked to meet at the home at 1:30 p.m. to serve as active pallbearers: Leroy, R.C., Toy and Milford Pittman, Bernice and Theo Bowers.

After 11 a.m. Friday the body will be at the home.
