On July 7th, 1924, a fine promising boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. W. Van Biber of the Asherville neighborhood. He developed into a strong lovable child. They named him Marvin. He became ill with a cold which developed into pneumonia, and resulted in his death on January 30th, 1925. This little child was allowed to live only seven months and 23 days on this earth. God had need of this flower, so transplanted the bud of humanity to beautify and make more attractive the garden of Heaven. Neighbors and friends were exceptionally kind and helpful during the sickness and upon the death of the little one. The funeral was conducted from the Christian Church in Asherville on Saturday, January 31st by Evangelist H. J. Kennedy. Burial was in the Asherville Cemetery. Jesus said: "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of God. (Beloit Daily Call, Beloit, KS)
