Hugh Boone Corder, a retired farmer of Route 7, Fayetteville, died Wednesday night in Medical Center Hospital in Huntsville following a long illness. He was 77 years old.

Services were Saturday morning in the Ralston-Lee Funeral Home chapel, with J. B. Gaither officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Ben and Nancy Benson Corder. His wife, Kate Lucille Winford Corder, died in 1964. Mr. Corder was a member of Liberty Church of Christ.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Higgins, Jr., Liberty community; two sons, Billy Hugh Corder and Bobby Joe Corder, both of Huntsville; four sisters, Miss Rosa Corder and Miss Rossie Corder, both of Nashville, Mrs. Beulah Locker, Fayetteville, and Mrs. Virginia Baxter, Covington; a brother, James Corder, Nashville, and nine grandchildren.
