Mrs. Carter Jones, aged 41 years, died at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville Sunday night, February 18, 1951, after a serious operation. She was the daughter of the late B. T. and Mrs. Nancy Benson Corder and was born and reared in the Flintville vicinity. She had been a graduate nurse for more than 20 years and for some time, had been night superintendent of the Lincoln County Hospital. A more efficient or conscientous nurse never lived in the county and numbered her friends by the hundreds. She was a member of the Church of Christ and her membership was a Corder's Crossroads Church. Her funeral service was held at the Fayetteville church Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock conducted by Elder I. C. Pullias, assisted by Elder R. A. Largen with burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by four sisters, Misses Rosa and Rossie Corder, of Nashville, and Mrs. Russell Baxter, of Covington, Tennessee; and Mrs. Ernest Locker of Fayetteville. Four brothers, Mr. Abra Corder of Fayetteville, Mr. Theo Corder of Akron, Ohio, Mr. Boone Corder of Fayetteville, and Mr. James Corder of Nashville.
