Ralph D. Jackson, 71, of Lacey Street, Laceyville, died Monday of natural causes while at work in Wilmot Township Born in Endicott, N.Y., on December 7, 1924, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lida Thompson Jackson.
He and his son, Donald, owned and operated Jackson Construction and Excavation, Laceyville.
Surviving are his wife, the former Betty H. Decker; a daughter, Mrs. Gayle Parkhurst, Laceyville; sons, Donald, Laceyville; Mark, Harrisburg; a sister, Mrs. Helen Salsman, Laceyville; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville.
Interment will be in Lacey Street Cemetery, Laceyville.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Laceyville-Meshoppen Ambulance Association, c/o Mrs. Mable Clark, RR 2, Laceyville, 18623.
