Mrs. Oswald Baer, who had been a sufferer from heart trouble for many years, passed away last Thursday at her home in this city. She had been confined to her bed most of the time since last December and her condition was critical for two weeks prior to her death. Wilhelmina Paulina Melchior was born in St. Mary township on May 25, 1864. Her marriage to Oswald Baer took place on March 10, 1887. With the exception of five years spent in North Dakota, they lived in St. Mary until 1911, when they moved to this city, which has since been her home. She was a kind, motherly woman whose death is mourned by a large number of friends, who extend their sympathy to the bereaved family. Surviving deceased are her husband and three sons, Carl and O. N. Baer of St. Mary and Bernard O. Baer of this city. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church, of which she had been a life-long member. The pastor, Rev. C. H. Miller, officiated. Following the services, the remains were laid to rest beside those of her parents in Woodville cemetery.
