Vernon Ray Campbell was born April 1, 1936 at Vendor, Arkansas. He passed away January 12, 2013. He was the son of Peter Theodore & Rosalie Riddell Campbell. He married Vela Levern Bolin on January 15, 1955 at Vendor, Arkansas by Rev. Cain Boling, to this union were six children. He worked as a bulldozer and sawmill operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Ova Roberta Ricketts and one son-in-law, Jerry Ricketts; one grandson, Brandon Campbell; one great grandson, Dalton Kendell Ricketts; nine brothers, Cal, Duster, Daley, Jerry, Leonard, Alfred, Hubert, Loyce and Walter Campbell; six sisters, Nancy Foster, Sally Jackson, Mary Martin, Louisa Bolin, twin sister, Verna Fay Stewart and Joanne Royce.

He is survived by his wife, Vela Campbell and granddaughter, Aleah Snyder of the home; three sons, Eric Ray Campbell and wife, Amanda; Preston Lee Campbell and wife, Brenda and Aron Kent Campbell and wife, Sharon; two daughters, Glenda Joyce Campbell and husband, Buddy and Janet Coena Harrison and husband, Dennis; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and one great great grandson; one brother, Loyd Campbell of Vendor, AR and lots of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will mourn his passing.

His hobbies were: singing and playing his guitar, deer hunting and playing with his grandkids.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Raymond Wright and Leo Dye officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Vendor.

Pallbearers will be Shane Campbell, Rusty Campbell, BJ Campbell, Emmanuel Campbell, Brandon Snyder and Clyde Ramson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Ricketts, Eric Jr. Campbell, Nathan Ricketts, Bradley Smith, Colt Loftis, Rex Martin, Jerry Campbell, Johnny Faught and Keith Rogers.
