Mr. Chatham, retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service during which time he served in W.W.II. He retired from Delta Airlines after 15 years of service where he worked as a mechanic. Mr. Chatham was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by two sons, Johnny A. Chatham and Michael David Chatham, he is survived by two sons, Ernest Harold Chatham, Jr. of Gainesville, GA and Charles R. Chatham of Duluth, GA; daughter, Terry Debski of Norcross, GA; brother, Charles Chatham of Jonesboro, GA; sister, Marion Davis of Dunedin, FL; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
