Argyle- Mrs. Bennett Scottum, 82, Argyle, died Saturday (Mar. 11, 1967) in a Monroe hospital after a long illness. The former Grace Garrison was born in rural Argyle. She was graduated from the Argyle High School and Platteville State College. She was married in 1910 to Fred Malmer, who preceded her in death. In 1952, she married Mr. Scottum. She was a teacher and a practical nurse.

Survivors are her husband; a son, Erling Malmer, Phoenix, Ariz; two daughters, Mrs. John Grutzmather and Mrs. Homer LaForce, Mukwango; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

The funeral will be at 10:30 am Tuesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Friends may call Monday at the Erickson Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 pm.
