James Curtis died at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Wood, on Saturday, Dec. 17, aged 65 years. He was born in Pennsylvania but came to this vicinity with his parents when a small boy. He lived in Iowa about fifteen years, but he has spent the greater part of his life in this vicinity. He had been in failing health for about two years but had been seriously ill since October.
He never married but leaves one brother and three sisters. Mrs. Jno. Wood and John Curt's Argyle, Mrs. Kate Cullen, Fonda, Iowa and Mrs. F.M. Coperly, Lehigh, Iowa.
Father McNamee conducted funeral services at St. Joseph's church Tuesday with burial in Calvary cemetery.
