Earl Reuben Trapp, son of John and Mary Trapp was born at Milbank, S. Dak., on January 11, 1905.
In the fall of 1906 his parents moved to Marion, N.Dak., where his father purchased a farm four miles south of town. He attended country school a couple of years until 1913 when his father went into the hardware business, and Earl continued his education in town.
As a young man he was a cream buyer, and worked of farms, but in later years his activity was limited due to ill health.
He was stricken with tuberculosis and was a patient at the San Haven sanitorium near Dunseith for a long time.
He was united in marriage to Margaret Holweg of Park Rapids, Minn., in 1956. They moved to Marion where they have resided since that time.
He was a member of the Grace EUB church at Marion, a good neighbor, husband and father.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife; two sons, Robert and Larry; a step daughter, Shirley, all at home; his mother, Mary Trapp; two brothers, Lyle and Myles; and a sister, Ethel, all of Marion. He was preceded in death by his father.
