Rachel was born in Pennsylvania. Her parents were Amos Eggleson and Patience Bennett. She married the Rev. Joshua Wixon Oct. 14, 1798 in New York. In 1804 she and her husband moved to Pickering Ontario Canada. He was the pastor of The first Baptist Church in Pickering. After her husband's death she returned to Conn. Her sister Abigail married her husband's brother.
