Rev. T. H. Elder, an aged and highly respected minister of the Christian Church, died at his home six miles northwest of Roanoke on Tuesday of last week, aged 69 years. Interment took place at New Hope Church, two miles north of Milltown on the following day. Mr. Elder left four sons and four daughters, Mrs. J. W. Lane, Mrs. W. L. Osburn, Mrs. Chas. Birdsong, Mrs. E. T. Kitchens; Mr. Dod Elder, Mr. Sam W. Elder, Mr. John Elder and Mr. William Elder. Mr. Elder was well known throughout this and neighboring counties and was much esteemed by a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
