MISS MURPHY OF FAIRFIELD CALLED

Fairfield, Ia., March 2 -
Miss Elizabeth Murphy
Miss Elizabeth Murphy, the 28-year old daughter of D.P. Murphy, Fairfield, died Thursday night in the Jefferson county hospital after an illness of four days. She was a teacher in the sixth grade in the Lincoln school and was on duty Monday taking ill at evening. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic church and burial will take place in Evergreen cemetery.
Miss Murphy was born and reared in Jefferson county. She was a graduate of Fairfield high school and Parsons college. For two years she was an instructor in the high school at Melrose and last year came to the city schools here.
She is survived by her father and five sisters, Helen, Agnes, Alice, Teresa and Grace all of whom are at home. The mother preceded her in death two years.
