Deceased Name: Shirley Rathbun

FAIRBURY - The funeral Mass of Shirley E. Rathbun, 58, of Fairbury, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, Fairbury. Father Scott Archer will officiate.

Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, with the Rosary at 3:30 p.m.
She died at 7:05 p.m. Thursday (June 24, 1999) at OSF St. James Hospital, Pontiac.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Mrs. Rathbun was born March 12, 1941, in Paxton, the daughter of Tim and Anna Holt Bryant. She married R. James Rathbun July 12, 1958, in Fairbury. He survives.

Other survivors include her mother and stepfather, Anna and Bill Wilken, Fairbury; four sons, Tim (Julie) Rathbun, Fort Myers, Fla.; Tom (Cindy) Rathbun and Mark (Joy) Rathbun, all of Fairbury; and Terry (Penny) Rathbun, Bloomington; one daughter, Teresa (Joe) Palen, Forrest; three sisters, Nancy Billerbeck, Pearland, Texas; Dorris Hoffman, Alvin, Texas; and Rachel Ellis, Forrest; one brother, Raymond Bryant, Fairbury; one stepsister, Judy Shepherd, Odell; two sisters-in-law, Marge Bryant, Alvin, Texas, and Jean Ann Quick, Canton; and 15 grandchildren.
Her father; one infant daughter, Myra Isabelle; and two brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Rathbun was a homemaker and a seasonal gift wrapper at Walton's Department Store in Fairbury for many years.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Fairbury, and the Altar & Rosary Society of her church.
