Kay Slater, 76, of Bay City went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 7, 2013. She was born on June 24, 1936 in Bay City to the late Charles Roland & Clara Mangum Slater. Kay was a teacher in Fort Stockton, Eagle Lake, Rosenberg, and was a substitute teacher in Bay City. She was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bay City. Kay loved her great nieces & nephews.

Kay is survived by her brother: Charles E. Slater; 4 nieces; 3 nephews; 9 great nieces; 5 great nephews; and 6 great great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother: Gary Wayne Slater; 3 half brothers: Harland, Kenneth, & Clinton Joe Bass.

The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
