Robert Bantum, 53, for 18 years an engineer at city waterworks, ended his life at 4:30 p.m. Saturday with a rifle bullet though the head, at his home 765 Elm St. Mr Bantum had been despondent over poor health.
He was born in Jackson township, Coshocton county and was a veteran of WW I, serving 14 months in France.
On April 22, 1922, he married Eva Adams.
