"Harry R. Bunn, 80, of Garrattsville, a retired employee of the Otsego County Highway Department, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, after an extended illness. He was born Dec. 29, 1898 at Fly Creek, a son of Frederick and Carrie (Wheeler) Bunn. He married Harriet Hickling in November of 1923. She died April 22, 1960. He had been employed for 23 years by the Town of New Lisbon Highway Department and for 20 years by the Otsego County Highway Department at Cooperstown. He retired in December, 1970. Surviving are four sons, Richard H. Bunn, Burlington Flats; Vernon P. Bunn, Utica; Francis L. Bunn, Garrattsville, and James A. Bunn, Norwich RD 3; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Salisbury, Milford; a brother, Morgan Bunn, Cooperstown, and several nieces and cousins. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 21, at the Ingalls, Connell & Dow Funeral Home, Hartwick, with the Rev. Roger L. Beach, pastor of the Garrattsville Presbyterian Church officiating.
