Ralph Hatch Tolman
Sandy: Loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Ralph Hatch Tolman, 73 died Oct. 2,1997 from a long battle with Luekimia at his home and farm of 73 years with his family around him.
Born May 5, 1924 in Lehi, Utah to Judson L. and Pauline Hatch Tolman. Married Betty Ray June 7,1942 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church.
Served in the Merchant Marines during World War II in the Pacific and Phillipines.
Retired Teamsters truck driver. He was a prominent Sandy farmer and served on the Sandy City Council for eight years. Ralph was a good and loving neighbor and friend to all. He never met a stranger. You never made a visit to his home without leaving with your arms full of produce.
Survived by wife of Sandy, Sons and daughters; Ralph R. Tolman, Dawn (Robbin) Anderson, Michael Ray (Susan) Tolman, LaRaine Tolman (Wendell), all of Sandy; Susan Riley, Holladay, Carolyn (David) Bartlett, Gary (Mickie) Tolman, Midvale; Lynne Orgill, Draper; 24 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sisters Beatrice Coyner, St. George; Alice Broomhead, Alpine; and Ruth Hardcastle of Sandy. Preceeded in death by daughter Diana Leatherwood, Special relatives O. Albert and Ruth Hardcastle and Darrell and Betty Ray and Ula Watkins.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Jordan 3rd Ward 8950 So. 400 E. Where friends may call Sunday eve from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 West Riverton and one hour prior Monday at the church. Interment in Sandy City Cemetery.

This is my dear Uncle Ralph. This is my Mother's baby brother. He lived on the old family farm after him and Aunt Betty got married. I have so many wonderful memories of spending time at the house and farm, family get togethers. What a wonderful legacy you left.
