HOPEWELL RESIDENT FOR 13 YEARS DIES
HOPEWELL, July 27 – Thomas Brown, resident of this community for the past 13 years, passed away at his home Tuesday, July 18.
Born Nov. 2, 1883, in Dixon county, Nebraska, Brown is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marvel Brown, three children, Dorothy, Beverly and Dean Brown all of Salem; one brother, James Brown, Vermillion, S.D.; and four nephews and two nieces.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, at the United Brethren church in Hopewell. The Rev. H. Horton officiated with interment in Hopewell cemetery under the direction of W.T. Rigdon company.
