Plot N4-193 from 1953 survey of Old Dutch burying grounds reads, "Memento Mori. Hier leyt het lichaem van PETRUS Van TESSEL. Geboren de 15 May 1728, Overleeden de 17 Sept. 1784. Out Zynde 56 Yaren, 4 Maanden en 3 Dagen. Long long this tone & mould, ring elay, Shall melt thy wife & childrens eys. And to each other shall they lay, Here a tender friend & father lies."
