Alma S.M. Wilkens(nee Tobeck), a resident of Steger, formerly 50 years in South Chicago Heights, died Saturday, July 24, at St. James Hospital and Health Centers, Chicago Heights.
An 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Chicago Heights, with the Rev. David Steuernagel officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery,Flossmoor. Visitation will be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home Steger Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Wilkens was born April 1, 1910, in Illinois. She was a homemaker; and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia(Roy) Hofer; a brother, Richard Tobeck of South Chicago Heights; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her husband, Virgil, died in 1976.
