Goldie A. Beamesderfer, 88, of Norristown, PA and formerly of Ephrata, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Suburban Woods Health & Rehabilitation Center in Norristown, PA. Her husband, the late Paul D. Beamesderfer, passed away in 1994.
Goldie was born in Reamstown, PA, daughter of the late Benjamin and Mamie Steffy. She was a member of St. John U.C.C. in Denver, PA and worked at Ephrata Apparel and most recently in the deli at Weis Market in Ephrata.
Surviving is a son, Donald E. Beamesderfer, husband of Cecelia (Dunn) Beamesderfer of Norristown, PA; a sister, Bernice Boyer of Reamstown, PA; and 8 nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, Goldie was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel Witmer and Etta Forry, and a brother George Steffy. She also leaves behind her pet dog Pierce.
Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013 and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday at Gravenor's with the Rev. David Brumbaugh officiating.
