Morton, Aug. 16 - Mrs. Hazel Latham Beavers, 53, of Baytown, Texas, died in Jackson and was buried in the Contrell cemetery Monday.

Mrs. Beavers was visiting relatives in Morton at the time she became ill. She was brought to a Jackson hospital where she died. She is a former resident of Scott county, and is a sister of J. W. Latham former state bank comptroller, and present vice-president of the Deposit Guaranty Bank and Trust Company.

Survivors include five children, Knox Beavers, Mrs. Travis King, Baytown, Texas; Mrs. Roy Burnette, Byram, Texas, and Noah Beavers, U. S. Navy; three grandchildren; two brothers, Mr. Latham, of Jackson, and Earnest Latham, Sanatorium; three sisters, Miss Pearl Latham, Jackson, Mrs. Jack Lee, Morton, and Mrs. Leo Lee, Ludlow.

Services were conducted from the home of Mrs. Jack Lee at Morton with the Rev. R. L. Wallace, and the Rev. R. Y. Gerrard, officiating. Burial was in the Contrell cemetery near Lena.
