LINWOOD – Services for Julius Ustohal, 86, a retired Linwood vicinity farmer, will be at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Moser Funeral Home in North Bend and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Linwood. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Ustohal died Monday at a Schuyler hospital. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Linwood.
Mr. Ustohal was born Feb. 16, 1875 in Domason Brno, Moravia. He came to America when he was five years old. He was a member of Catholic Workmen Lodge and St. Mary’s Church at Linwood. He was married Nov. 22, 1898 to Frances Macholan at Abie.
Survivors include his widow, six daughters, Mrs. Lydia McCracken, Lincoln, Mrs. Mary Kavan, North bend, Mrs. Anna Kovar, Schuyler, Mrs. Agnes Chromy, Linwood, Mrs. Blanche Prochazka, Hemingford, Mrs. Julia Phillips, North Bend; five sons, Joe and Jerry of Linwood; Tony, Scottsbluff; Ernest, Omaha; Julius, North Bend; a brother, Frank of Schuyler; a sister, Mrs. Anna Plotz of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 28 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Services Thursday for Julius J. Ustohal
Julius J. Ustohal, 86, a retired farmer of the Linwood community died Monday in the Schuyler hospital.
Mr. Ustohal was born Febr. 16, 1875 at Domason Brno, Moravia. He had lived in the Linwood community for 82 years. On Nov. 22, 1875 [1898] he married Frances Machalon at Abie. They were the parents of 11 children, all of whom are living.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Lydia McCracken, Lincoln; Mrs. Mary Kavan and Mrs. Julia Phillips, North Bend; Mrs. Anna Kovar, Schuyler; Mrs. Agnes Chromy, Linwood and Mrs. Blanche Prochaska, Hemingford; five sons, Joe and Jerry, Linwood; Tony, Scottsbluff; Ernest, Omaha and Julius, North Bend. Brother, Frank, Schuyler; sister, Mrs. Agnes Plotz, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 28 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
