Martina was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and of the music ministry at the church. She loved singing and her plants. She was a quilter, liked sewing and she was an amazing cook.
She is survived by her daughter, Consuelo Arriazola; sons, Henry (Rosa) Licon and Joe Daniel (Lucy) Licon; sisters, Pauline Valenzuela and Elida O. Robles; 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, Martina is preceded in death by her son, Reynaldo O. Fuentez, Sr.; sisters, Tomasa Banda and Irene Mata; brothers, Antonio Olguin, Jr., Victor Olguin and Genaro Olguin; and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Grace Funeral Home. A rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Father Paul Nadamkuzhy officiating. Burial will follow at McFaddin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Robles, Henry Perez, Ventura Martinez, Pat Robles, Joey G. Fuentez, Kevin Ramirez, and A.J. Rivera. The honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Fuentez.
