Funeral service for Bertie Stuart Keith, 97, will be held 11:00a.m. on Friday, December, 28, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, with burial in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Irmo. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December, 27 2012, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Keith died Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Born in Sylvania, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Henry O. and Laura Etta Boykin Stuart. She was the wife of the late Franklin VonRay Keith. Mrs. Keith was a member of Dutch Fork Baptist Church and attended services at the Heritage at Lowman Chapel. She retired as a sales clerk from Rainbow Cleaners.
Surviving are her daughter, Jeannette Keith Pompi (Paul) of Columbia; two grandsons, Jonathan Ash Weathersby (Adrienne) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Jefferson Keith Dorman of Central, SC. She was preceded in death by brothers, Henry Stuart Jr., Boykin Stuart, John A. Stuart, James Stuart, Cecil Stuart, Woodrow Stuart; sister, Mary McCarty; and granddaughter, Jennifer Weathersby.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of The Heritage at Lowman Home for their care and compassion during her residency and at this difficult time.
