Linda Marie (Volle) Jahr, 64, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2012, at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa, surrounded by her family. Linda was born on September 27, 1948 in Edina, Missouri. Linda attended Olathe schools all throughout her school days and graduated from Olathe High School.
She married Nathaniel Dean Locke in 1969 and had 2 children, Nathaniel Richard and Nancy Marie. They later divorced.
Throughout her working days, Linda held jobs at Po-Folks restaurant, Hi-Line Plastics and finally made her career as a cook at the Central Kitchen for the Olathe Public Schools, USD 233.
On December 21, 1993 Linda married Eugene R. Jahr and celebrated 19 years of marriage with Eugene the day she passed away. Linda is survived by her husband Eugene of Lenexa, KS, her mother Ruth M. Volle of Olathe, KS, brother Richard F. Volle (wife Suk) of Osawatomie, KS, sister Mary E. Daily of Kansas City, KS, her son Nathaniel R. Volle (wife Brenda) of Olathe, KS, daughter Nancy M. Locke of Kansas City, KS, grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
Linda was very proud of her family and their accomplishments. She loved introducing her family to everyone, friends and strangers, although Linda really never knew a stranger.
Visitation will be Friday evening, December 28 from 6:00-8:00pm and funeral services will be held Saturday December 29, 2012 at 10:00am, both at McGilley and Frye Funeral home, 105 East Loula, Olathe, KS (913)782-0582. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, 2301 South 34th Street, Kansas City, KS.
