Passed away Monday, July 27, 1987 in California. Mr. Cook was born June 19, 1916 in Kalamazoo, the son of Dr. John and Katherine Cook and had been a resident of San Bernardino CA for the past 12 years. He served with the US Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Joseph B Westnedge, Post 36. He helped organize the Junior and Senior Drum and Bugle Corps, was a past Third District Committeeman of the Post and served as Adjutant for 22 years. He was also a member of the 40 & 8 and served as correspondent. He had formerly owned and operated Cooks Barber Shop in Kalamazoo. He is survived by 3 sons, Kevin of Portage, Robert of Atwater, CA, and Marty of New Orleans; 6 grandchildren; 1 brother, Noel Cook of Trinidad, CA; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Chapel at Mt. EverRest Cemetary. Arrangements made by Langeland Portage Chapel.
