Mrs. Effie Mae Bard, 87, wife of Herbert R. Bard, died early Thursday afternoon at the family residence, 1519 South Madison Street.
She was born in Illinois, the daughter of F.L. and Sinah Crider Shinkle, and moved to Muncie as a child. She was a member of the High Street Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Rev. Maurice Kessler will officiate. There will be no calling hours at the mortuary.
