Abner Allen died of Typhoid Fever after an illness of seven days.
He was first Deacon of the Congregational Church for many years.
He served several times a Selectman; and served on the State Legislature.
He was one of the first in town to give his attention to sheep-raising, a business which has made Lebanon one of the wealthiest towns in the State.
