Sometime prior to the 1850 census Deer Creek Township was taken from various townships and formed. A part of which was Tobin Township and was later reverted back. Further reseach will tell how long the short lived Deer Creek Township actually existed.

William remarried after the 1860 census time to Isabella and had three more children: Mary Esther, William T. and Amol.

William died sometime prior to 14 Mar 1872 when you may find the following will record.
