Thursday 11 July 1946:

"Mrs. Anna Marie (Donnelly) Walsh, 66, wife of Thomas A. Walsh, died last night at 7:2- o'clock at her home, 120 East Hampshire street, Piedmont. She had been in ill health since she suffered a stroke of paralysis eight years ago, but did not become seriously ill until about three months ago.

A native of County Mayo, Ireland, she had lived in the States for fifty years and was a resident of Piedmont for twenty-five years. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by ten children, Mrs. Joseph Welsh and Joseph Walsh, both of Washington, D. C.; John Walsh, Baltimore; Mrs. Kathleen Carney and Mrs. Clifton Marsh, both at home; Martin Walsh, Piedmont; Thomas Walsh, Piedmont police officer; Mrs. Robert Cole, Westernport; Mrs. Ray McNemar, Piedmont and Lt. Comdr. Elizabeth Walsh, Navy Nurse Corps, Treasure Island, California.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be in Washington, D. C. Arrangements have not yet been completed."

"Requiem High Mass for Mrs. Anne Donnelly Walsh, wife of Thomas A. Walsh, who died last Wednesday at her home, 120 Hampshire street, was held Friday morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. Rev. George J. Pugh, assistant pastor, said the Mass. The Rev. Charles H. Quinn, assistant pastor, was in the sanctuary.

Pallbearers were L. E. McNemar, Eston Nazelrod, John Dugan, Charles Coyle, Charles L. Davis and Thomas Kiddy.

Members of the family accompanied the body to Washington, where interment was made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Rev. Father Barron, of St. Francis Xavier Church officiated at the grave. Relatives from Baltimore and Washington also attended the services at the grave."
