Funeral servies for Miss Gussie Beldsoe, 93, who died Wednesday at a local nursing home, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday from the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Gerald Woods officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ray Hawkins. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
Miss Bledsoe was born Aug. 4, 1885 in Sebastapol, Miss. and had been a resident of of Clovis for the past 10 years. She was a school teacher in McLean, Texas and retired at the age of 72 after a career of teaching for 47 years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a lifelong friend Miss Leona Farber (Forbes) of Clovis with whom she made her home for the past 40 years. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbears will be Bob Burch, Joe Thornton, John Pruitt, Ivy Metcalf, John Reynolds and Lester Teakell.
