Paul Lyle Anthony, 55, formerly of Naugatuck and Waterbury, died suddenly at his home in New Britain, Sunday morning, November 25, 2012.

Paul was born on January 15, 1957 in South Bend, IN a son of the late James M. Anthony, Sr. and Nancy L. (Rogers) Anthony and came to Naugatuck in 1969. He was a 1975 graduate of Naugatuck High School, and the Naugatuck Valley Community Technical College School of Nursing. He also attended the Hartt School of Music where he studied Piano Performance, especially the romantic composers, Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff. A talented and well respected Registered Nurse, Paul had been employed at Southbury Training School, Fish Memorial Hospital, Orange City FL, Waterbury Hospital, and was currently Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Department of Developmental Services for the State of Connecticut. Paul was a very giving person and besides his own gift of playing piano, he enjoyed cycling and his collection of various pets over the years.

He leaves his beloved daughters, Michaela Lyle Shelton (Peyden) of Salt Lake City, UT and Margaret Rose Munro (John) of Davenport, FL; his former wife, Barbara Voglesong also of Moorestown, NJ; his brother, James M. "Jay" Anthony, Jr. of Waterbury and his partner Nancy Trifone Ferrarese ; his sister, Marilyn J. (Anthony) Savaikis, RN (Mark) of Waterbury; his nieces, Cailin R. Corbett of Santa Monica, CA, Kathryn M. DiGiovanni (Jordan) RN, BSN of Watertown and Alexandra Voglesong of Medford, NJ; his nephews, Ian Voglesong of NY, NY, Ryan and Logan DiGiovanni of Watertown and a myriad of friends.

Funeral Services were held Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 16 Church St., Waterbury. Burial was in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck.
