Funeral services for Ruth F. Moffitt, 86, of Carlisle Road, Newville, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Doubling Gap Church of God, 50 McCrea Road, Newville.
She died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 29, 1914 in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Bertha F. Sipe Gutshall, she attended Carlisle schools.
She was a member of the Doubling Gap Church of God in Newville, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and youth director, and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 540.
Mrs. Moffitt is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lester R. Moffitt; two daughters, Doris Jean "DJ" Barrick of Newville and Barbara Ann Finkenbinder of Carlisle; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Gutshall.
The Rev. Trevor Rosenberry will officiate at services. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
