Joy Haley Tadlock, 73, a teller, died Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at home. Visitation is 1 p.m. today with services at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Ms. Tadlock was born in Copiah County in 1930 to the late D.C. Haley and Janie Berry Haley. She grew up in D'Lo, and graduated from D'Lo High School. She had been a resident of Byram for ten years, and a former resident of Jackson.

Ms. Tadlock was presently employed as teller with the Jackson Area Federal Credit Union and was a retired manager with Bailey Mortgage Company. She enjoyed being a part of the Steele Magnolia Club, a small group of close friends that met on a regular basis. She was Baptist.

She leaves behind her loving family, two sisters, Helen Walters, and her husband Bud of Mendenhall, and LaNelle Holloway of Jackson; two nephews, Dennis Walters and Ronnie Holloway; two nieces, Donna Hill and Joy Cruise; and several great-nieces and nephews; and her very special dog that she loved dearly, Susie Magnolia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
