--Mamie married Theodore H. "Ted" Funderburk. They were married 56 years and had 6 children: Ted Wayne, Maxie G., Annette, Janette, Judy, and Frances Funderburk. They had 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.
--faithful member of First Baptist Church of Matthews. She was active in the Dorcas Sunday School Class and Mission Study Circle.
--For many years she helped her husband operate Commonwealth Grocery in Charlotte. In retirement they both worked at Funderburk's store in Matthews.
