Roy Stoutamire was born on April 29, 1931 in Tallahassee, Florida to George W. Stoutamire and Sarah Raker Stoutamire whom were descendants of Florida pioneers. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, December 17, 2012. Roy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Audrey. He is preceded in death by Alton (brother), Fay Maxwell and Jane Harrison (sisters); Douglas Martin and Charlie Stoutamire (grandsons). He is survived by daughters: Lindell Faith (Clyde) Martin, Valerie Hope (Skip) Washburn, sons: Carl Grayling (Laurie), Jeffrey Wayne (Donna) and Byron Grant; grandchildren: Rachel Watkins, Philip Martin, Nathan Renner, Megan Washburn, Alexander, Olivia, Jonathan, James, Sofia, Eric and Courtney Grant Stoutamire; step-grandsons: Alexander and Christopher Whitworth; great-grandchildren: Ian and Madeline Watkins; brother, Ollie (Lavern); sister-in-law, Regina Stoutamire; sister, Vera Garver and many nieces and nephews.

Roy was a man of considerable talents. He was a professional photographer and diving instructor. Roy proudly served his country in the United Stated Navy. He will be remembered for his love of family and always making a new friend, his strong determination, and kind heart.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. The family would like to invite friends to a visitation on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 pm. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Dr. Lenny Willinger and Rev.
