Athens - Bertha Sandra Kotzan ("Miss Bea"), 90, devoted wife, mother and great grandmother, died May 3, 2006.

A native of East Chicago, Indiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Antal Garda and Berta Szabó, two sisters, Irene and Margaret, and her husband, Charles John Kotzan. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ and the Ladies Guild in Hammond, Indiana. Mrs. Kotzan made her home in Athens for the past 30 years where she worked at Richway and Target until she was 80 years old. She was noted for her loving personality and wonderful Hungarian cuisine.

Survivors include her sons and their spouses, Jeff and Lois Kotzan of Athens, Bruce and Christina Kotzan of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Cathryn Linder of Marietta and Michael Kotzan of Atlanta; great grandchildren, Christopher and Stephen Linder, and nieces and nephews, Karen Goins, Sylvia Haley, Diana Barkley Richards and William Kotzan.

The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, EAST, Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM.

Graveside services will be Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1353-A
Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
