Karoline Maria 'Mary' Niemann 1860 – 1926
Mary Kunkel was the eldest daughter of Peter and Karoline Kunkel. Mary never married. She was the cook, housekeeper and disciplinarian for her mother's family of fourteen children. She was a beautiful woman and a kind, quiet, loving and very gentle person. She was loved by all her family.
After the children were married and gone, Mary and sisters Edith and Ruphina lived in the house together, none of them ever married. Refina died of pneumonia, and Editha died of Cancer.
