ALVEY L. BEACHLEY, for more than ten years station agent, died instantley Friday morning in the office of the Hagerstown & Frederick Railway Company at Middletown.
Mr. Beachley, prior to becoming agent in Middletown, taught school.
He was a son of the late John W. and Mary E. Beachley and was born and raised on a farm near Middletown.
He was aged 61 years.
He was a member of the Middletown Reformed church and the Macabees.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vallie Beachley, and the following children: Mrs. Helen Zimmerman, Walkersville; Mrs. Margaret Huffer, near Middletown; Miss Lillian Beachley, Frank Beachley and Richard Beachley, all at home; two sisters, Miss Mary Beachley, Jefferson, and Miss Edna Beachley, Frederick, and three brothers, H. D. Beachley, Thurmont; Vernon S. Beachley, Pittsburg, and Edgar M. Beachley, Smithsburg.
