Agnes Marotta, 93, of East Stroudsburg, died Saturday, Nov. 3, at Stroud Manor Nursing Home, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Andrew Marotta, who died in 1994.
Born on July 8, 1908, in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Louis and Concetta (Chiffo) Conte.
For most of her life, she was a floor supervisor in the garment industry.
She was a member of the Italian Ladies Auxiliary of Stroudsburg; Altar and Rosary of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, East Stroudsburg; and the parish of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are one stepdaughter, Nancy Garmont of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, George Conte of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one stepson, Paul Marotta.
There will be Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, East Stroudsburg. The Rev. Father Vara Prasad will be officiate. Burial will follow the service in Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
Visitation will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg.
