LANCASTER — Funeral services for Archie Garthwaite, 45, who died at his home in Merrill Monday night, will be held at the Mt. Hope Methodist church at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Arthur
Scott will officiate and burial will be in the Hermitage cemetery. The body was taken to the home of a brother, Bert, in Mt. Hope.

Born in Little Grant, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Garthwaite. He is survived by his wife, the former Eva Alderson, and three brothers, Bert and George, Mt. Hope, and William, Little Grant.

Archie Garthwaite Dies in Merrill

Archie Garthwaite, 45, a former resident of Woodruff, died suddenly of a heart attack Monday night in Merrill, where he operated a root beer stand, it was learned here yesterday. Survivors include his wife, Eva, and three brothers, Albert, William and George. Funeral services will be held tomorrow in Mount Hope, Wis.
