DB JAMESON, JR., age 81 passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009. He was born in Pampa, TX in 1927 as the first born to Ruth Gilliland and DB Jameson, Sr. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during WWII and was one of the original members of the Blue Angels in 1946. DB was honorably discharged in October, 1948. DB graduated from the University of Texas with a Chemical Engineering degree in 1956. DB worked in sales for many engineering construction firms including the Rust family of companies, MW Kellogg, Brown & Root, Fluor Daniel and AG McKee. After retiring he worked for BioEnergy Brazil. DB was a diligent and active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church where he served in many capacities including the Vestry, the 'Holy Biscuit Group', the Men's Group and many other committees. DB was also a member of the Caledonian Society of Alabama, Rust Alumni "Liars Club" and the Alumni Club at the University of Texas 'Hook Em' DB is survived by his wife of 22 years Margaret Billups Jameson, sister Nancy (Jim McDowell), sons Blake (Cynthia), Lance (Ginger), Hunter (Jennifer), Sean (Paula) and one nephew raised as a son, Mike Hammer (Robin). His grandchildren are Zachary, Zoe, Katie, Quinn, and Mike's son, Christopher. DB will be sorely missed by his family and many, many friends. DB is preceded in death by his wife Ruth "Katie" Hammer, father DB Jameson Sr. and mother Ruth Gilliland. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2870 Acton Road, Birmingham, AL 35243. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, April 5, 2009 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
