A resident of Anderson for some 30 years, Mrs. Martha Maddox Scott, 94, died Wednesday morning at the Americana Nursing Home following a two year illness.
She had resided for the past eight years with a niece, Mrs. Kenneth Poore in Chesterfield.
Mrs. Scott, the last of 15 children of William and Amanda Kirk Maddox, was a native of Fleming County, Ky. She was born Feb. 9, 1877, and lived in Knightstown before coming to Anderson. She worked for 27 years at Delco-Remy Division and was a member of UAW Local 662.
Funeral services are set for 10:30am Friday at the Baker Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Possell in charge. Interment will be in the Glen Cove Cemetery at Knightstown.
Friends may pay their respects at the mortuary after 2 o'clock this afternoon.
