Mrs. Suye Obayashi, 67, a San Diego resident for 37 years, was found dead early yesterday in a bathtub at the family home, 539 Eighth Ave. Death was caused by a heart attack according to a Coroner's physician.
Mrs. Obayashi's husband, Joe, discovered the body after she failed to answer his knock on the bathroom door.
Mrs. Obayachi, a native of Japan, had resided in the United States and California 44 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Frank Yamada, Mrs. Togo Yamauchi and Mrs. Florence Ueno, all of San Diego, and four sons, George Tanaka, of New York, and Alfred, Edward and Walter Obayashi, all of San Diego.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Japanese Congregational Church, 431 Thirteenth Ave., where an earlier service is sheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Benbough Mortuary.
