Evansville, Ind. Robert A. Bittrolff, 70, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012.

Bob attended Bosse High School. He worked at Charles Leich and Company, prior to his 40 year employment at Keller Crescent, which is where he met his soul mate, Carol.

He was an avid archer and enjoyed golfing and camping. Bob made many friends in the McCutchanville Fire Department through Carol's many years of volunteering.

Bob attended Christian Fellowship Church. He loved his pets, Rusty and Bella. Bob always carried a smile and loved to joke and was known as a gentle soul. Bob will be greatly missed.

The Bittrolff family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff at St. Mary's and VNA Charlier Hospice Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Ray and Mary Bittrolff; brother, George "Bud" Bittrolff.

Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol (Newcomb) Bittrolff; daughter, Michelle Dean (Nathaniel); grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica, and Garrett Dean; cousin, James Bruner; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2012, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor David Niednagel with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home, and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time.
