Lester was born on Sept. 7, 1909 in Cleveland, Ohio and had an older brother Lawrence. His parents were William & Geneva (Flory) Kale. He grew up in Cleveland and attended East Tech High School.
He appeared in the 1930 Cleveland census with his parents & brother living at 5462 State Rd. in Parma.
Les was 23 when he married Margaret Lunsford n Dec. 31, 1932 in Circleville, Ohio. He had two sons, William & John.
He was a Colonel in the U.S. Army and served in many places in the US and over-seas. He retired and returned to Cleveland where he was living at 130 Westbrook Ct. in Willoughby when he passed away on June 12, 1987 at the age of 78. Les was cremated and his ashes were placed in the Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Euclid. He was survived by his wife, two sons & five grandchildren.
Margaret continued living there until she passed away on Dec. 10, 2002 at the age of 91. A memorial service was held at the Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Euclid on Dec. 21st.
