GASTONIA — Marguerite Weaver Barnes, 89, of 26 Tower Road NE, Marietta, Ga., formerly of Gastonia, died Dec. 4, 2003, at Specialty Care of Marietta.
She was a native of Smyrna, Ga., daughter of the late Andy B. and Inez Dill Weaver.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Sunday, Myers Memorial United Methodist Church
INTERMENT: Gaston Memorial Park
VISITATION: 7-8:30 tonight, McLean Funeral Directors, Gastonia
She was retired from her husband's grocery business, the WA Barnes Grocery in Gastonia. Mrs. Barnes was a member of Myers Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the Builder's Sunday School Class.
SURVIVORS: Two daughters, Judy B. Brumley and her husband Richard of Roswell, GA, and Carolyn B. Hawkins of Hickory, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Richard S. Brumley, Jr. of Marietta, GA; Matthew Scott Brumley and wife Eren of Roswell, GA, Jennifer B. Morales of Roswell, GA, Joseph G. Hawkins of Hickory, Charles E. Hawkins of Hickory; Also surviving are five (5) great-grandchildren
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents; her husband, William Arthur Barnes; by a son, Harry D. Barnes; by a brother, Andrew Bruce Weaver; and by a sister, Alma Jean Weaver
